Crewboss Beta Testing [What to Expect]

To all of you participating in our Beta Release, I’d first like to say thank you! Below is a guideline of what to expect as you explore Crewboss. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to email us by visiting this page.

What’s New?

In one word: Everything!

We’re proud to introduce you to CrewBoss – your application in the cloud that helps you plan and coordinate your construction jobs and tasks.

This is the first publicly facing release, albeit in beta mode. It is the common way to tell you that we’re allowing a few important users to experience the service, and to get early feedback before we go into real production.

The team behind CrewBoss has worked hard to provide you with a service that works well. Although when we are in beta mode there are two things that are important:
1. Quick feedback from the users.
2. Quick reaction to the feedback from the development team.

If you encounter features that do not work well for you, or things you think can be improved – please speak up.

Calendar View

  • Calendar Weekly view where you can add and see the response status for the tasks
  • View weeks in the future or the past by clicking the arrows on each side of the week date range
  • Task info icon that allows you to easily edit your task
  • Filtering of tasks based on your search criteria
  • Filtering of tasks based on one of the key role participants (Crew Leader, Superintendent, Builder)
  • Filtering of tasks based on task response status (Pending, Scheduled, Tentative)

Task List View

  • The Task List View is where you to get an overview list of all of your tasks
  • Navigate to the Task Details View
  • Sorting of your tasks based on the column header. Clicking the same column header again, sorts in reverse order
  • Filtering of tasks based on your search criteria

Task Details View

  • View the details of the task
  • Set response on behalf of any of the task’s key role participants (Crew Leader, Superintendent, Builder)
  • View notes belonging to either the job, or task
  • Add new Note to the task
  • View Contacts belonging to either the job, or the task
  • Add new Contact to the task
  • View Documents belonging to either the job, or the task
  • Upload new document to the task
  • Navigate to the Task Edit View

Task Edit View

  • Add/Update a task with all the main task details
  • Add a task note

Job List View

  • The Job List View is where you to get an overview list of all of your tasks
  • Navigate to the Job Details View
  • Sorting of your jobs based on the column header. Clicking the same column header again, sorts in reverse order
  • Filtering of jobs based on your search criteria

Job Details View

  • View the details of the job
  • View notes belonging to the job
  • Add new Note to the job
  • View Contacts belonging to the job
  • Add new Contact to the job
  • View Documents belonging to the job
  • Upload new Document to the job
  • Navigate to the Job Edit View

Job Edit View

  • Add/Update a job with all the main job details
  • Add a job note

User List View

  • The User List View is where you to get an overview list of all of your users
  • Navigate to the User Details View
  • Sorting of your users based on the column header. Clicking the same column header again, sorts in reverse order
  • Filtering of users based on your search criteria

User Details View

  • View the details of the user
  • For Crew Leaders: View staff members belonging to the Crew Leader
  • For Crew Leaders: Add a new staff member
  • User Edit View
  • Add/Update a user with all the main user details
